Robert Swaak participated in the Plenary Session of the Foreign Investors Council


The 30th Plenary Session of the Foreign Investors Council chaired by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev was held on June 22, 2017 in Astana. More than 300 participants from the Kazakh and foreign sides, including 30 members of the Council from the foreign side and two observers, as well as heads of state bodies, national companies took part in the Plenary Session.

This year, the main topic of the Council was "New Energy". Robert Svaak, PwC Global Leader on Global Clients, Industries and Sectors, spoke during the main session about the company's vision of the fourth industrial revolution. He shared some principles that would help businesses succeed in the era of new technologies.

Among these principles – advises to raise technological acumen, design for customers, rethink business model, and put people before machines. It is important to set up an enterprise to foster better connections among people, to encourage human behavior, and to build the capabilities that overcome technological isolation.

At the end of the Plenary Session, participants attended a working breakfast with the President.
