Disrupting technology from above – PwC master class at the XII Innovation Congress

On November 28, 2017 Almaty hosted the XII Innovation Congress and Exhibition of Innovation projects. PwC took part in panel discussion, gave a master-class and presented drone powered solutions during the exhibition.

On Technological Transfer session, participants discussed the creation of favorable conditions for technology transfer, including state support measures, technological brokering, financing, implementation and other issues in this area.

Aleksander Buczkowski, Manager, Drone Powered Solutions, PwC Poland talked about drone technology applications, which support implementation of new business models and optimization of business processes. Nowadays it is clear that drones are widely used in industries such as agriculture, transport and infrastructure. Drone technology also has a potential in insurance, security, oil and gas, mining and other sectors. Aleksander Buczkowski also pointed out that Poland was one of the first countries to introduce full regulatory framework regarding drone operations and now technological innovations support economy development. According to PwC report “Clarity from Above” value of global addressable drone market in 2021 exceeds 127.3 bn USD.
